Fashion Rant: Handbags Should Not Be Just A Fashion Statement

Like most women, there are certain accessories that I can’t live without.  First and foremost is a good pair of shoes.  Next up is a good handbag.  I’m talking about something that will essentially hold everything that I need to make it through the day.  For some of us the needs are simple, it has to hold some cash, our keys and our cell phone and maybe some tissues.  For others, it must hold a change of clothes and enough makeup to refresh the face. Fortunately there are a variety of sizes available.

Unfortunately the trend of late has been to make them as ugly as inhumanly possible.  No longer the simple leather sack to hold your needs, purses have become upscale designer items, essentially over-priced, over-decorated and unusable fashion accessories.  Shopping for a reasonably priced, usable handbag has become a  challenge.

    Hello Julierose
I agree with you about the lack of imagination and elegance on the trendy handbags.
I can’t stress enough how the three “B” are the common style and the ruin of imagination, BIG, BULKY and BORING.
I’m against that and I’m working to present something different. Check my line Patricia Kor, which is simple but attractive.
I love straight lines, efficiency, elegance and color and that’s what I offer with my products.
For the end of boredom go to http://www.patriciakor.com
    Cheers!
