Santa’s Longest Night

Tonight is Christmas Eve, the night when Santa delivers presents to all the good girls and boys.  How does he do it all in one night?  There are those who argue that he has to travel at impossible speeds to carry out the deed.  Other will argue that he has helpers, that there are many Santas, not just one.

What everyone seems to forget is that there are twenty-four time zones around the world and midnight at the International Date Line is where Santa starts his deliveries.  He still has to work pretty quickly as he only has an hour in each time zone to make his stops.  Hour by hour Santa works his way around the world until he is back where he started.

Chances are that Santa has already started work today and when midnight rolls around in your neighborhood, he’ll be there with bells on.  Although I still can’t account for the costume changes done in an open sleigh; I guess there has to be some mystery to the man.

Hope your holidays are happy during this festive season!
