Taco Joes

No, this is not a restaurant review; it is me in the kitchen again.  I love sloppy joes; my daughter prefers tacos.  This is my solution to both of us getting what we want.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 3/4 cup water
  • hard taco shells
  • shredded lettuce
  • shredded cheese
  • salsa
  • 2 sandwich rolls, split
  • Heinz 57 sauce

Following instructions on taco seasoning packet, brown ground beef.  Add seasoning and water and simmer for 10 minutes.

Put half of taco beef into a bowl.  Serve bowl of taco beef with taco shells, lettuce, cheese and salsa.

Place sandwich rolls on a plate and spoon remaining beef over rolls.  Pour 57 sauce over sandwiches and mix into beef.
